Rihanna, J. Cole Join Jay-Z at 40/40 Club Opening at Barclays Center

The Roc was in the building at the grand opening of the 40/40 Club inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn last night. A silk pajama-clad Rihanna and J. Cole joined their boss Jay-Z at the glamorous celebration, which also drew The Roots’ ?uestlove, Adrienne Bailon, Tyson Beckford, and Lyor Cohen. Guests sipped on Armand de Brignac champagne and D’ussé cognac while admiring Hov’s newest nightclub.
“I walked around here earlier and I just seen everybody busy and at work trying to finish up and it was a great feeling,” Jay-Z told MTV News. “A guy stopped me in the hallway and said, ‘Man this is a great thing for New York City.’ And that’s what the whole thing was about.”
The Roc Nation boss, who is a minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets, will christen the $1 billion arena by performing the first of eight shows tonight.
