One Uganda’s biggest female acts, the sexy Desire Luzinda,
arrived in Ghana yesterday ahead of preparations to film the music video for
her new single ‘Stay with me’ featuring the multiple award winning Ghanaian
hiphop star D-Black.
The song to be released in Uganda next week is aimed at connecting the
Eastern African flavor of
rnb music and the west African Anglophone hiphop sound and will most
definitely
cross over both artists in their respective regions as is Desire’s next
single
to be released in her East African region.
Ghana Bwouy, D-Black is crossing over continentally as his
most recent music video ‘Falling’ featured Nigeria’s Mo Cheddah , he
recently
featured Fally Ipupa from Congo on an upcoming single, featured on Zambia’s
Zone Fam’s new single as well as Nigerian gospel/rnb act Tolumde’s next
single ‘More
Than’ with the music video shot in the U.S.A scheduled for release at the
end of this month. He also has a few collabrations with African and American
acts on his upcoming ‘THE REVELATION’ album, including the African Remix of
My Kinda Girl featuring ‘Ntukza from South Africa’s BET Award nominated group
Tear Gas, Malawi’s Tay Grin, Botswana’s Zeus from last year Big Brother Africa, Ugandan Rap King ‘Navio’, Liberia’s Scientific and Nigerian/ Barbados rapper Alaye dropping this month. The video for Desire Luzinda’s collaboration with D-Black is set to be shot this Sunday the 8th of July is being directed by one of Ghana newest but finest music video directors ‘Pascal AKA’ . Director of E.L’s ‘Obuu Mo’ , 5Five’s ‘Kaa Bu Ame’ and more at various locations in Accra.
