Bio:
Femi Blackup was born in Accra Ghana . As a youngster his parents exposed him to different genres of music such as soca, calypso, country, hip-hop, RnB etc but none stood out like reggae/dancehall. The truth behind their lyrics and the tempo of the beats made him want to pursue music.
His musical journey started while in middle school (Osu Home Jnr. Sec. Sch.) and high school (Labone Sec. Sch.) where he researched and nurtured his musical talent and skill.

When he was on the verge of breaking through the music game in GH he had to move to the US(illinois) so he put music on a hold but still wrote songs. His musical journey picked up again when he met the young genius producer Mobeatz in Chicago through his manager nelli in 2009. From there they started working on his upcoming album "sketchbook" and collaborating with other artists such as Kudjo, Moe sbw, Young Vim, Tox, Emil, Kupaa, Cambodia, teicher, kalizion,alpha clef project band . Femi Blackup has always had a passion for music thus he is not in it for the money or fame but rather "he wants to make good music that will find it's way home to the heart of the people".
