The Producers of Nigeria’s biggest and best organized music awards, The Headies (Hip Hop World Awards) has announced the commencement of SMS Voting. Fans can now vote for their favourite acts at The Headies by sending an SMS to 33690. There are Eight voting categories at The Headies 2012 and they include; Artiste of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video, Best Street Hop, Best Pop Single, Best R&B Single, African Artiste of the Year and the coveted Next Rated category which comes with a car prize.
The Headies Secretariat has also announced that SMS voting will make up 65% of the total votes, while Online voting via www.theheadies.com accounts for the remaining 35%. SMS voting officially commences at 6AM on Thursday, September 27, 2012 and closes at 6PM on Saturday, October 20, 2012.
To vote for your favorite acts in any of the voting categories simply follow the instructions below. SMS cost 50 Naira only and is available on all networks
