Mariah Carey Shoots Down Nicki Minaj Feud Rumors

Barely two days into auditions for the new season of “American Idol,” there are already rumors swirling that Mariah Carey and fellow judge Nicki Minaj are not getting along. But during a press conference on Monday, the pop diva disputed the reports.

“How are we gonna feud in two days? Let the feud take a little longer to spread out,” joked Mariah, who was seated alongside country star Keith Urban and Nicki at the judges’ table.

“It’s fun. It’s music. It’s singing. It’s laughter,” she added.

Mariah and Nicki collaborated on the remix to Mariah’s 2010 single “Up Out My Face.” Mimi is earning around $18 million for one season on “Idol,” while Nicki’s paycheck is a reported $12 million.
